Our Favorite Spots in Huntington

Ritter Park - located on Huntington’s Southside, features a walking trail, rose garden, award-winning playground, dog park and tennis courts.

Heritage Station - the former Baltimore & Ohio Railroad passenger station at 11th Street and Veterans Memorial Boulevard. The station was repurposed into a mixed-use development full of eclectic shops & restaurants including: Birds of a Feather, Butter It Up, Let's Eat Café, Brand Yourself, Brown Dog Yoga Studio, Taps at Heritage, Sip Wine & Whiskey Bar, All About You Hair Salon, Full Circle Ceramic, The Chessie Room. 

Central City- the "Antique Capital" of the Tri-State (Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia). You can shop over 10 antique shops, dine at Central City Cafe, explore the farmers market on select summer days, and experience Huntington's rich history at nearby museums. 

Huntington Museum of Art - A nationally accredited fine art museum and the largest between Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Richmond. The museum boasts an exceptional collection, innovative exhibitions and educational programs and an extraordinary 52-acre site where art and nature trails blend in harmony. As an added bonus, visit the museum's plant conservatory featuring an Orchid collection containing 100 varieties. 

Pullman Square - Downtown shopping and dining at its best, the square offers a variety of shopping, dining, cinema and entertainment for all ages. Located between 8th and 10th streets and 3rd Avenue and Veterans Memorial Boulevard.

Our Favorite Restaurants in Huntington

Savannah's - One of the Tri-State's most elegant and popular restaurants since it first opened its doors in 1996. They have received numerous awards and accolades for its menu and wine list.

Sip Wine & Whiskey - Serving over 40 wines from around the world by the glass and bottle. Specializing in wine flights – three small glasses of wine served together that allow you to discover your tastes and preferences and over 30 whiskeys to sip as well.  Sip also offers a selection of microbrews, artisanal cheeses, desserts and fine local foods.

Frostop Drive-In - Located at 1449 Hal Greer Blvd this is THE place to go for the best hot dogs (all the fixin's) and a frosty mug of rootbeer or their famous rootbeer float. This drive-in first opened in 1959 and hasn't changed a bit since then - simply drive-in and honk for a taste of Huntington history!

Cellar Door - by Le Bistro is a unique tapas room located downtown specializing in small plates, tapas, craft beer and an extensive wine list.  A unique, cozy experience of food and conversation shared around custom conversation areas. 

Le Bistro - Artistically crafted dishes and a regionally unique wine cellar, a favorite fine dining destination. Now serving Saturday brunch! 

Black Sheep Burritos - Located downtown in Pullman Square this is the place for serious gourmet burritos. Their menu is anything but standard. Saturday & Sunday brunch is divine as well as the great brews and booze. Fun, casual and delicious. 

Jewel City Seafood - The best seafood in all of West Virginia! A very casual and bustling spot, this is the place where the locals graze on super fresh seafood that is perfectly prepared. They also have retail market for carryout.

Rocco's Little Italy - Located 252 Main Street, Ceredo, WV 25507  (close to downtown Huntington). The best Italian in the Tri-State Area and quite possibly the best Lasagna or spaghetti you've ever tried. 

Where to go in Barboursville & Milton

Blenko Glass Company - Family owned and operated company since 1893 this working glass factory hosts tours of its world renowned glass making process. Exquisite color, skilled craftsmen, and imaginative designs have made Blenko famous in the time-honored craft of hand-blown glass. In a world of ever increasing automation, Blenko Glass prides themselves in paying close attention to the forms and designs of their handmade roducts. Located just 13 miles from the Inn in Milton, Wv.

Barboursville Park - Enjoy  this expansive park with a range of activities including: fishing lake and ponds, picnic areas, an amphiteater, walking trails, horse show ring, and an archery range.

The Huntington Mall - Just 10 minutes from the Inn in Barboursville (yes, that's confusing) the tri-state's largest mall is host to over 150 stores, several restaurants and a theater. 

Hillbilly Hotdog's - For the true "Appalachia" experience this is a must-stop. Located in Lesage just up the holler in: 6951 Ohio River Rd. Lesage, WV.  This roadside hot dog stand and unbelievable tourist attraction is known for their outrageous variety of gourmet hot dogs and hamburgers.
